Put together a preschool bag with the help of your child

You should put together a little bag with your child that they can take with them to preschool. Let them know the bag will be there with them if they need it. The bag should have things like their favorite stuffed animal, a picture of you, and a letter letting them know how proud you are of them for being such a big boy or girl. Let the teacher know about the bag and have them put it up in safe keeping. For the first few days, ask the teacher to make the bag available to your child if they get homesick and are having a hard time at any point.

Drop your child off quickly

When the day comes to take your child to preschool for the first time and leave them, you want to make it quick. Staying around while they cry and crying with them is only going to make the situation more stressful for the both of you. Instead, give them a hug, say your goodbyes for the day, and turn them over to the teacher.
